For individuals who are required to work at heights, fall protection can be lifesaving. Having the knowledge and experience wearing and using fall protection equipment properly can mean the difference between being restrained or arrested or sustaining a serious injury or death.
Employers are required to provide employees with the training and equipment needed in order to perform work tasks safely, including fall protection. All workers who are required to utilize fall protection must be trained in user procedures of that specific equipment. Training includes proper donning of the full body harness, anchorage selection, use and function of connecting devices, shock absorbers and site-specific user procedures to include rescue.
Atlantic Fall Protection’s Authorized User Training is included with all of our engineered fall protection systems. This training is completed following the installation, during the turn over phase of the project. Individuals that attend are presented with an Authorized User wallet card and certificate of completion.
We also provide Authorized User Training for customers with preexisting fall protection systems and equipment. Training can take place at the workplace or job site. Typical class sizes are 1-15 students. Please call for more information or a quote for OSHA required Authorized User Training.
